Some moms will do anything for their child, even skip their own long-awaited graduation to attend that of their son.

Sharonda Wilson, who earned a bachelor of science in business administration degree, decided to skip walking across the stage to accept her diploma from Ferris State University, CNN reported.

That's because her son Stephan Wilson, had his ceremony from Central Michigan University on the same day, the Detroit Free Press reported. Stephan Wilson was graduating with a bachelor of arts in music theater.

Sharonda Wilson wrote on Facebook about the decision she faced, and luckily a student who worked in the president's office at her son's college found out about the conundrum, according to CNN.

The student, who was a friend of the younger Wilson, told the school’s president Bob Davies, who came up with a plan.

Davies reached out to Ferris University President David Eisler the morning of both ceremonies, asking if Central Michigan could confer Wilson’s degree.

"Dr. Davies really shocked me. I told a friend of mine that (my) mom was skipping her graduation to be with me, and she used her magic to help Dr. Davies orchestrate that moment," Stephan Wilson told the Free Press.

It all happened on May 4.

"Sharonda and Stephan both put in long hours and hard work, and they deserved the chance to celebrate together as a family," Davies said in a statement. "We appreciated the opportunity to partner with our friends at Ferris State to recognize and celebrate this milestone achievement for both Stephan and Sharonda."
