The rookie quarterback out of the University of Alabama, chosen fifth overall in the draft last month, can afford it.
The Dolphins and Tagovailoa came to an agreement on a four-year, guaranteed $30.28 million deal with a team option for a fifth year, the Sun-Sentinel reported. Tagovailoa also receive a signing bonus of more than $19.5 million, the newspaper reported.
Tagovailoa shared the gift to his mother, Diane Tagovailoa, on Instagram and Twitter.
"I know you wanted something that would be able to carry everyone,” Tagovailoa said to his mother while presenting the gift.
"This is mine?” she asked, before giving her son a hug.
Tagovailoa celebrated the holiday with his family at their home in Alabama, the Sun-Sentinel reported. He has participated in offseason virtual activities with the Dolphins since the draft, according to the newspaper.
