KIRO reported that officers asked people to avoid the area, which was an active scene.

Authorities are looking for two suspects who reportedly fled the scene in a tan Chevrolet vehicle, KIRO reported. Additional details, including suspect descriptions, were not immediately available.

Police said at a news briefing there were three victims -- a man in his 20s, a man in his 40s and a third victim who died. They were driven in a car with two other people to Swedish's Cherry Hill campus.

"At least one suspect opened fire on a group of victims in the 2100 block of East Union Street," police said in a news release. "The victims fled the scene and drove to Swedish Hospital – Cherry Hill. One victim was pronounced dead at the hospital, while two others were transported to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries."

Officials said it is not clear if the two injured are suspected shooters. The Seattle Police Department Gang Unit is investigating.
