Officer Sean Cave, a nine-year veteran of the force, talked to the children about doing well in school and not getting into trouble, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
The impromptu game started when Cave saw the boys running between cars and standing on a fence. He went to the store and got a Nerf football.
Before the game started, he asked all of the boys to line up, raise their right hands and pledge not to touch guns or drugs, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
