Oversized bacon, eggs from Michigan mall's play area on auction block

And eggs, too. Sunny-side up.

A 5-foot-long slice of bacon and a pair of eggs were part of the play area in the Woodland Mall in Grand Rapids, Michigan, MLive reported. The pieces were retired from the mall this spring and now are available in an online auction, the website reported.

The pieces will be on sale at Bid on West Michigan until Sunday at 8 p.m., according to the website. Proceeds will go to Kids' Food Basket, WZZM reported.

The value of the bacon and eggs are $1,200, according to Bid on West Michigan. The opening bid was $2,50.

The bacon is 2.5 feet wide, while the eggs are 10 feet long and 5 feet wide, MLive reported.

The breakfast-themed play area was a fixture at the mall for 20 years, MLive reported. It included a cereal bowl, a banana, sausage links and a waffle, according to the website. Those pieces were donated to Berkley Hills Community Church of Grand Rapids, according to WZZM.

In August, Woodland Mall installed a forest-themed play area with friendly monsters, MLive reported. It was part of a $90 million renovation project.

"For more than 20 years, the bacon and eggs play area held a special place in the heart of many Grand Rapids families," Cecily McCabe the mall's marketing director, told WZZM. "Woodland Mall hopes to see these fun play features find a new home where children will continue to enjoy them for decades to come."
