"She had 210 five-star reviews and I'm thinking, 'OK, this is great,'" Brown told KABC.
But she got an alert on her phone the day of her cousin’s wedding.
“On the preview on the alert, it showed a man in our house, someone that I wasn’t expecting,” Brown said. “So I opened it up and that’s when I saw she was there with a man in our house and they were going straight for our bedroom.”
Brown said she and Brengle discussed a puppy cam that was in her kitchen counter. It shoots out treats and shows Brown what her dogs are up to when she’s away.
In the alert, Brown saw Brengle kissing a man, who KABC reported was the petsitter’s boyfriend.
Videos from the camera show Brengle’s boyfriend entering the home on multiple occasions. In one instance, Brengle is seen with her boyfriend going into Brown’s master bedroom, locking Daisy and Penny outside. In another, Brengle is seen on Brown’s couch half-clothed, and taking her boyfriend a guest bedroom. She’s seen walking around the home with no clothes multiple times.
KABC reported that, although Wag guidelines prohibit third-party visitors, Brengle's parents are also seen visiting the pet owner's home.
When asked by a reporter why she was seen naked multiple times in Brown’s home, sitting on her couch, Brengle said, “It got hot. ... I don’t like wearing clothes.”
“It’s not something I did with intent or malice,” she said.
In response to the reported incident, Wag suspended Brengle and issued the following statement to KABC:
“The reported behavior in this situation is unacceptable and contrary to our Community Guidelines... We expect everyone on the Wag! platform to conduct themselves professionally.”
