Police body cameras: will your DUI video go viral?

Nearly a year after Ferguson, police body cameras are taking hold in metro Atlanta police departments large and small.

You probably think they’re a great idea. Of course, you’ve never had an embarrassing encounter with police, but what if you did? What if your next traffic stop is something you’d prefer no one ever knew about, much less watched?

Think again. In the near future, many encounters with police will be on video, and much of that footage will be public record.

Think nosy neighbor. Think YouTube. Think viral.
