President-elect Donald Trump said he will take a $1 annual salary as president, The Hill reported Sunday.
Trump, who defeated Hillary Clinton in Tuesday's election, discussed his presidential salary on Sunday night's "60 Minutes" telling CBS reporter Lesley Stahl that he didn't even know how much he was supposed to make.
"I think I have to by law take $1, so I'll take $1 a year. But it's a — I don't even know what it is. Do you know what the salary is?"
“It’s "$400,000 you're giving up," Stahl told him.
"No, I'm not going to take the salary. I'm not taking it," he said.
