Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the United States was "pleased that Tehran has been constructive in this matter" and thanked the Swiss government for helping make Wang's return possible, according to the Post. He later arrived at a U.S. Army hospital in Germany and is being evaluated at the Army-operated Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, CNN reported.
“The United States will not rest until we bring every American detained in Iran and around the world back home to their loved ones,” Pompeo said in a statement.
