General Motors has issued two recalls that affect more than 814,000 vehicles.

The company has recalled almost 464,000 Cadillac CT6 sedans, Chevrolet Silverado 1500s and GMC Sierra 1500s from 2019 because of a software error that could disable the electronic stability control and antilock brake systems, increasing the risk of a crash, The Associated Press reported.

The brake computer will be reprogrammed at dealerships starting on Jan. 27, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said.

An additional recall involves more than 350,000 2019 and 2020 Silverado and Sierra 1500 pickup trucks.

A cable between the battery and alternator may have too much glue, interrupting the electrical connection, causing the truck to stall or catch fire, the AP reported.

Dealers will be inspecting the cable and cleaning the connections if needed starting Jan. 27, according to the AP.
