BBC News reported Huckle had been stabbed to death with a makeshift knife.
Authorities confirmed Huckle died but said it would be "inappropriate to comment further while a police investigation is ongoing," Reuters reported.
Huckle was sentenced to 22 life sentences for abusing children between 6 months and 12 years old between 2006 and 2014. BBC News reported he was arrested in 2014 at England's Gatwick Airport in 2014 following a tip from Australian authorities.
