South Carolina teens accused of killing good Samaritan who helped pull SUV from ditch

A good Samaritan stopped to assist two teenagers from South Carolina after their Dodge Durango got stuck in a ditch in North Charleston.

That's when police say 17-year-old Deon Frasier and 19-year-old Michael Dupree-Tyler fatally shot him, the Post and Courier reports.

According to the Post and Courier, North Charleston police spokesman Spencer Pryor said Chadwick Garrett was robbed and shot after getting the car out of the ditch around 11 p.m. Monday.

Frasier and Dupree-Tyler were arrested at an apartment complex about six miles from where the incident happened, police said.

Both teens were charged with murder, and Frasier also has been charged with possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, according to the Post and Courier.
