The New York Times reported Monday that an update on the page said Will Connolly, the 17-year-old who smashed an egg on Anning's head, would donate "a majority of the money" to those affected by the New Zealand mosque shootings.

The GoFundMe was initially set up to go to Connolly for legal fees and “more eggs,” according to the page.

Dubbed “EggBoi” by some, Connolly gained attention Saturday when he attended at far-right rally in support of Anning. The Queensland, Australia, politician seemed to imply that “Muslim fanatics” were to blame for the attacks.

"The real cause of bloodshed on New Zealand streets today is the immigration program that allowed Muslim fanatics to migrate to New Zealand in the first place," Anning said as part of a full statement, according to NYT.

The statement was shared across Twitter, drawing criticism. Anning doubled down, tweeting other Islamophobic comments blaming violence on Muslims.
