Not all heroes wear capes; sometimes, they wear yellow vests.

That became apparent Monday when a quick-thinking American Airlines worker stopped a runaway catering truck, which narrowly missed hitting a parked plane and his fellow employees at O'Hare International Airport in Chicago, CNN reported.

Osteopathic physician Kevin Klauer captured the moment in a now-viral video, which shows stunned workers watching as the cart spins rapidly. After a few moments, one employee races to a nearby truck and purposely crashes into the cart, knocking it over.

"Crazy event at ORD," Klauer captioned the clip, which had been viewed more than 6.1 million times by Tuesday morning. "Heads up safety move by a ramp worker!"

American Airlines said the cart's "accelerator became stuck and caused the catering cart to lose control," according to USA Today. Nobody was hurt in the incident, the carrier said.

"We appreciate the quick action of our team member who stopped the vehicle," the airline said in a statement to CNN.
