Wendy Williams addresses family rumors, says new boyfriend is 'not who you think'

Wendy Williams returned to daytime TV after a five-week hiatus, and she had a lot to catch up her co-hosts on.

The talk show host -- who is divorcing her longtime manager and husband of more than two decades, Kevin Hunter Sr. -- had an eventful time off and was photographed in Los Angeles, mingling with celebrities and getting cozy with 27-year-old Marc Tomblin.

Williams tearfully began her Monday show in New York by thanking her "Wendy" watchers for waiting, and got right into a number of topics, including visiting Kim Kardashian and Kanye West at their Los Angeles home and taking photos with Kardashian and her mother, Kris Jenner. She also mentioned spending time with her new friend, Blac Chyna, participating in Gay Pride festivities last month, and revealed she has been diagnosed with lymphedema, which is a swelling in the body from a blockage in the lymphatic system.

"I’m not on the market anymore,” she said, revealing that she is not dating Tomblin, a convicted felon, nor is she dating DJ Boof, who works on her show. “I don’t know how I’m doing! I’m not in love, but there’s somebody that I’m crazy about.

Williams went on to give a few details about her new man, but didn't give his name, saying to the camera, "You're not going to blow this for me."

“It helps that he’s a doctor,” she said. "But he’s been married, his kids are in their 20s. And yes, he’s black. I know you’re wondering."

Williams didn't directly talk about her family, but she did seem to address reports of discord between her son, Kevin Hunter Jr., and her estranged husband, saying that her family is "cool."

She more directly addressed rumors about her divorce when dismissing a cover story about it in the Globe.

“When I saw this, I almost passed out,” she said of the tabloid cover. “I bought all of them at the airport … and walked on about my business. My family is doing fine. I am doing fine.”
