"He was riding his bicycle southbound on Roswell Road, and he was struck by a vehicle that was passing by," Sandy Springs police Sgt. Sam Worsham said.

The driver of a Chrysler sedan, 34-year-old Antoniette Battlen of Atlanta, crashed and came to a stop about 100 yards up the road. She was taken into custody shortly after officers arrived around 5 a.m., Worsham said. Bijvank was dead at the scene.
