Struck, 93, is still an avid rider who published a book on her experiences on two wheels, "Gloria – A Lifetime Motorcyclist: 75 Years on Two Wheels and Still Riding."

"I never realized the life I led until I sat down to write about it, and I thought 'Oh, my goodness, quite a life,' so I'm very happy I did it," Struck recently told WGHP.

After some convincing by her brother, Struck learned how to ride a motorcycle when she was 16. It was not commonplace for women to ride and she faced adversity for doing so. Now she is celebrated.

Struck, who is from New Jersey, was inducted into the Sturgis Hall of Fame in 2011 and the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 2016. She’s been a member of Motor Maids Inc. for more than 70 years.

Struck said she is planning a cross-country tour to celebrate her 100th birthday.

"There's no such thing as having age stopping you from doing things," Struck told WGHP. "You want to do something and you're able to, do it."
