New fitness center set to open in Kettering

A new fitness center is set to open in Kettering this week.

Frequency Fitness will open in the Fairmont Plaza Shopping Center, and will hire six additional employees for the location, according to a news release.

Personal trainer Benjamin Heal said he wanted to open his own space after working in the industry for almost two decades. The fitness center owner said he hopes to attract people who want to achieve exercise goals and develop “personalized, realistic” programs.

“I have been a trainer in this community for the best part of 15 years,” Heal said in a statement. “I look forward to opening my new facility and building a dynamic team of trainers to serve the area.”

The new center is located at 1228 E. Stroop Road. The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting and open house on Friday at 1 p.m.
