A woman was shot and killed in Philadelphia in front of her 5-day-old baby early Friday, WPVI reported.
The shooting occurred around 4 a.m. in the Logan section of the city, police told the television station.
Police arrived at a residence and found a 24-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to her head, WPVI reported.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Philadelphia police Chief Inspector Scott Small told the television station the woman’s infant was several feet away in her crib during the shooting. The child was not hurt, police said.
