Police investigating after bullet found at Middletown High School

Police are investigating after a bullet was found Tuesday inside the lobby of Middletown High School, according to police and school officials.

Two students found a 9 millimeter, hollow-point bullet at about 1 p.m. and took it to School Resource Officer Luke Agee, according to Middletown Police Lt. David Birk.

Investigators viewed surveillance video and interviewed students, but no additional ammunition or a weapon were found, according to Elizabeth Beadle, district spokeswoman.

Beadle noted the district’s “see something, say something” policy worked.

“We are continuing the investigation this week,” Birk said.
