Monday was the first time in 2019 that no gun violence was reported in Chicago, WLS reported.
However, there were two gun-related incidents, the television station reported.
Chicago police said two people suffered self-inflicted gunshot wounds, WLS reported.
A 38-year-old-man accidentally shot himself while cleaning a relative's handgun, and a 15-year-old boy hiding a gun during a weapons check was injured when it accidentally discharged, the television station reported.
Three people were wounded by gun violence Sunday in Chicago, WLS reported. None of the injuries were fatal.
