A California gun and ammunition shop known for its controversial social media commentary raised some eyebrows Wednesday with a Facebook post depicting a bomb resting inside a mailbox urging readers to "Have a (bomb) day," the Sacramento Bee reported.

The post by Sacramento Black Rifle was accompanied by a smiling face emoji that followed a note that read “To (sic) soon,” the newspaper reported.

While the post appeared to be made in a tongue-in-cheek fashion, it comes on the heels of at least 11 apparent pipe bombs sent to prominent Democrats, CNN and actor Robert De Niro.

Some social media posters responded with memes, but some users on Sacramento's Reddit page were not amused, the Bee reported.

“I can’t stand Sac Black Rifle for this reason, they’ve always been like this and make the rest of us look bad,” Reddit user bnb5550 wrote.

Several hours later, Sacramento Black Rifle wrote that "Our post struck a nerve! The liberals just can't take it anymore. They contacted the @sacramentobee to try and stir up more fake news! Just an FYI I thrive on making liberals cry!"
Previously, the gun shop poked fun at the Native American heritage of Sen. Elizabeth Warren e earlier in October, and complained in September that no one had gotten pepper sprayed after a Black Lives Matter protest in September.
