Ohio Senate candidates agree to three debates

Ohio’s leading candidates in the race for the U.S. Senate agreed to three debates, including one in Columbus.

Campaign officials for U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, a Democrat, and Republican Josh Mandel, Ohio’s treasurer, agreed late Friday afternoon to the three debates.

Details of the debates have not been set, although it is known that one of them will be held at the City Club in Cleveland on Oct. 15 and another Oct. 25 in Cincinnati, which will be hosted by NBC.

The Columbus debate will be sponsored by Ohio’s eight largest newspapers, including The Dayton Daily News, and WBNS-10TV (Ch.10), a CBS affiliate.
