“We thank our local federal employees and offer them something to do while they are on furlough or working without pay,” said Director and CEO Michael R. Roediger. “This is a very stressful time for these workers and their families, and we hope they are able to enjoy a relaxing, tranquil break in our galleries. Federal employees and their guests are welcome to visit as often as they like through the end of January. If the shutdown continues past the end of January we will extend this offer.”
You can see the entire list of museums offering free admission for furloughed federal employees on the Association of Art Museum Directors website.
The Dayton Art Institute is located at 456 Belmonte Park North, just off Interstate 75. Visit DAI's website for tickets and exhibit information.
