Major Highway Incidents

  • On southbound I-75 at the 99 mile marker in Shelby County, a ‘situation’ with a HAZMAT request has shut down all lanes of southbound I-75. No other information was available.
  • Surface Street Incidents

    • On Springboro Pike at Dorothy Lane in Moraine police and medics were dispatched on a reported crash around 6:35 a.m.
    • On Ohio 41 at Newlove Road in Clark County, a car was reported on its top around 6:25 a.m. It was not immediately known if the car was occupied.

    MONTGOMERY COUNTY

    • I-75 north Ramp to Main Street,24 hour ramp closure July 6th – August 15th. The official detour is: I-75 north to Stanley Avenue to I-75 south to Main Street
    • I-75 north Ramp to SR 4 north, ramp closure August 11th at 10 pm through August 12th at 5 am. The official detour is: I-75 north to Stanley Avenue to I-75 south to SR 4 north
    • I-75 north between US 35 and SR 4,Nightly lane closures August 9th -12th between 8 pm and 6 am. Two northbound lanes will remain open.
    • I-75 north Ramp to Main Street,nightly ramp closure August 9th -12th between 8 pm and 6 am. The official detour is: Stanley Avenue to I-75 south to Main Street
    • I-70 west Ramp to SR 48, ramp closure August 12th - August 15th at 6 am. The official detour is: I-70 west to Hoke Road to I-70 east to SR 48 *In addition, Motorists will not be able to enter the I-70 west on ramp from SR 48 south.
    • Main Street Ramp to I-75 south,ramp closure July 9th – August 15th. The official detour is: Main St. to Monument St. to Ludlow Street to US 35 west to I-75 south.
    • Third Street Ramp to I-75 north,nightly ramp closure August 9th -12th between 8 pm and 6 am. The official detour is: westbound: Edwin C. Moses Boulevard to Great Miami Boulevard to Main Street to I-75 north. Eastbound: Jefferson Street to Monument Street to Main Street to I-75 north.
    • I-70 west Ramp to I-75 south, Nightly lane closure August 10th – 18th between 9:30 pm through 5:30 am. One lane will remain open on the Ramp at all times.
    • SR 48 between Savina Avenue and Wenger Road, lane closures through Aug. 31. One lane will remain open in each direction.
    • SR 741 northbound near Lyons Road,Single lane closure July 22nd – August 12th . One northbound lane will remain open.
    • East River Road between Dryden Road and Arbor Boulevard, road closure August 1st – 15th.The official detour is: Dryden Road to Arbor Boulevard to East River Road
    • The Webster Street bridge is closed as it is rebuilt. A detour will take motorists to Keowee Street to Monument Avenue. The project is scheduled to be completed in November of 2017
    • I-75 northbound ramp to US 35 westbound, ramp closed until Oct. 31. The official detour is I-75 north to U.S. 35 east to Jefferson Street to Washington Street to Ludlow Street to U.S. 35 west.
    • Third Street between Edwin C. Moses Boulevard and Perry Street, lane closures through September. One lane will remain open in each direction.
    • I-70 between Airport Access Road and SR 48, lane addition project. Two lanes open in each direction. Motorists will encounter barrels and construction in this area.
    • The ramp from U.S. 35 eastbound to I-75 northbound, ramp closed through September 2017. Motorists will be able to utilize the specially designed U-turn lane located at the Edwin C. Moses Boulevard exit.
    • Robert Drive between Fifth Street and Third Street road closed through September of 2017. The detour is Southbound — Perry Street to Fourth Street, Northbound — Fifth Street to Wilkinson.
    • The First Street, Second Street and Third Street ramps along I-75 northbound and southbound, are permanently closed. A newly constructed ramp is scheduled to open to motorists in the downtown area in December of 2016. The official detour during these ramp closures is: I-75 North to U.S. 35 East to Jefferson Street to First and Third streets. Motorists can also use Main Street or Edwin C. Moses Boulevard.
    • Vista View Drive between Second Street and Third Street, road closed through September of 2017. Detour posted.
    • Red Cross Lane between First Street and Gibbs Lane, road closed through September 2016. The official detour is: First Street to Perry Street to Second Street to Red Cross Lane.

    MIAMI COUNTY

    • I-75 south ramp to CR 25A near Troy, ramp closed March 21 through Oct. 28. The official detour is I-75 south to SR 41 to I-75 north to CR 25A.
    • I-75 between Northwoods Boulevard and SR 41,Daily lane closures August 3rd – 12th between the hours of 9 am and 3 pm. Two lanes will remain open in each direction.
    • SR 201 between Staley Road and Elizabeth-Bethel Road, bridge closure August 3rd – September 13th.The official detour is: SR 571 to SR 202 to SR 41
    • SR 185 between Range Line Road and SR 48,bridge closure July 21st – August 10th. The official detour is: SR 48 to US 36 to SR 721
    • CR 21 between US 36 and Loy Road,bridge closure July 25th – September 23rd.The official detour is: US 36 to Casstown-Fletcher Road to Loy Road to Casstown-Sidney Road.
    • SR 201 between SR 571 and New Carlisle Road,road closure July 13th – September 13th.The official detour is: SR 571 to SR 202 to SR 41
    • Water Street at intersection of Market Street, road closure June 5th – October 15th. Water will only be closed at the intersection. Local detour will be posted.
    • I-75 at CR 25A (Troy), width restrictions March 29 through Oct. 31. Northbound lanes will be restricted to 13 feet. Southbound lanes will be restricted to 12 feet. Two lanes will remain open in each direction with one northbound lane shifted to the southbound side and one northbound lane operating on the northbound side. Two southbound lanes will also be open on the southbound side.

    GREENE COUNTY

    • SR 235/Xenia Drive from I-675 into Fairborn will be closed at the Norfolk Southern Railroad crossing from August 8 to August 11 for repairs to the railroad. Drivers exiting from I-675 should instead at Dayton-Yellow Springs Road or State Route 444, the exits just north or south of State Route 235.
    • Bridge deck replacement means a temporary signal on U.S. 68 over Painters Creek, just north of the Greene/Clinton line, beginning June 20. The temporary signal will be used to maintain one lane of two-way traffic on U.S. 68 for 120 days.
    • U.S. 68 from Brush Row Road to the Clark County Line, overnight lane closures from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. from August 1 until early September. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers and arrow boards.
    • U.S. 42 between Stevenson Road and Wilberforce Clifton Road, road closure due to culvert replacements from August 1-August 12. The official detour will be posted.

    DARKE COUNTY

    • Center Street between North Greenlawn Avenue and East Water Street,bridge closure July 11th – October 31st.The official detour is: East Wood Street to North West Street to SR 185 to Vista Drive to Baker Road.
    • SR 47 between SR 118 and Tiger Way in Ansonia, road closure through Aug. 31. The official detour is: SR 118 to SR 705 to US 127.

    MERCER COUNTY

    • SR 49 between the Mercer-Darke County line and Fort Recovery Corporation Limit,Various lane closures June 27th – August 29th between the hours of 7 am and 7 pm. One lane will remain open in each direction.
    • SR 49 between SR 29 and SR 707,Various lane closures June 27th – August 29th between the hours of 7 am and 7 pm. One lane will remain open in each direction.

    CLARK COUNTY

    • I-70 between Enon Road and US 68,daily lane closures August 1st –12th. One lane will remain open in each direction.
    • SR 41 between Jacksonville Road and North Hampton corporation limit, Daily lane closure July 29th – August 26th between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm. One lane will remain open for travel in each direction through the use of flaggers.
    • Dayton Springfield Road/CR 333 near South Tecumseh Road,24 hour a day lane closures July 5th – August 19th. One lane will remain open for travel in each direction with a temporary traffic signal.
    • South Tecumseh Road near Dayton/Springfield Road and Paradise Lane, road closure July 25th – August 19th . The official detour is: Fowler Road and Broadway Road
    • Moorefield Road between Old Mechanicsburg Road and Grant Road, bridge closure through Sept. 24. The official detour is: SR 4 to Croft Road to Old Columbus Road to Mahar Road.
    • District Wide Chip and Seal project on Logan SR 287, Champaign SR 29, Champaign SR 245, Champaign SR 559 and Clark SR 41.Various lane closures April 18th – September 30th between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm. One lane will remain open for travel in each direction through the use of flaggers.

    CHAMPAIGN COUNTY

    • SR 4 between the Clark County line and the Mechanicsburg south corporation limit, lane closures through Aug. 31. One lane will be maintained for travel in each direction through the use of flaggers.
    • SR 29 between Mechanicsburg west corporation limit and the Madison County line, lane closures through Aug. 31. One lane will be maintained for travel in each direction through the use of flaggers.
    • Districtwide chip and seal project on Logan SR 287, Champaign SR 29, Champaign SR 245, Champaign SR 559 and Clark SR 41. Various lane closures April 18 – Sept. 30 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. One lane will remain open in each direction through the use of flaggers.

    SHELBY COUNTY

    • I-75 north and south between CR 25A and SR 119, Nightly lane closures July 17th – August 14th between the hours of 6 pm and 7 am. One lane will remain open in each direction.
    • SR 47 between I-75 and Vandemark Road,Daily lane closures April 27th – September 30th between the hours of 7 am and 4 pm. One lane will remain open in each direction.

    AUGLAIZE COUNTY

    • I-75 between US 33 and Bellefontaine Street, nightly lane closures August 2nd – 31st between the hours of 6 pm and 7 am. Two lanes, with width restrictions will remain open at all times.
    • I-75 between US 33 and Bellefontaine Street, 24 hour lane width restrictions August 2nd- 31st. Lanes will be 11' with a 1' shoulder.
    • SR 116 between Stoneybrook Drive and St. Marys River Road,bridge closure July 25th – August 16th.The official detour is: SR 116 to SR 29 to US 33 to SR 197 to SR 116
    • US 33 east between SR 29 and SR 66, 24 hour lane closures July 7th – August 12th. One eastbound lane will remain open
    • SR 197 between Conant Road and Main Street,road closure July 18th – August 15th.The official detour is: SR 198 to SR 117 to SR 66 to SR 197.
