A flying turtle shattered the windshield of the driver's car Tuesday after the animal was hit by truck's tire and was sent airborne into the glass, WBTW reported.
"I still don't understand how it, like, the exact angle of that tire, for it to just fling into my windshield," John Gardner told the television station.

The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. in Conway
"Yeah, I was definitely surprised, because like, I couldn't even tell what it was at first because it's like, I guess just a big, black dot coming at me, and it's like, I couldn't move at all really," Gardner told WBTW. "So, I was just like, 'Oh OK, I hope it's not too bad.'"
Gardner was covered in glass after the impact, the television station reported. The tortoise was killed.
Gardner told WBTW that it will cost about $2,000 to repair his car.
"The wipers and stuff like that all got broken too, so it's going to be a lot," Gardner told the television station.
