3-vehicle crash shuts down street in Middletown

UPDATE: 3:16 p.m.

Witnesses said a female driver was traveling east in a vehicle on Roosevelt Boulevard when that vehicle collided with a truck that was turning left onto Roosevelt. After that, her car veered into the westbound lanes and struck another vehicle head-on.

Witnesses said the airbag in the vehicle the woman was driving deployed. She was taken by ambulance to Atrium Medical Center. The woman, who witnesses said had a bloody face, told medics she was pregnant.

Police and tow trucks are still on the scene working to clean up debris and remove the damaged vehicles.

It appears only the woman was injured in the crash.
