Want to make Clayton better? Group seeks input on new plan

A Clayton group that wants to revitalize the city is asking for public input this week on how to implement its 10- to 15-year plan.

The effort, called PLAN Clayton, has four main goals: walkable neighborhoods, central cores, connected parks, and great streets and infrastructures. PLAN Clayton received a $50,000 land bank grant to produce the plan.

Members of the public are invited to a workshop at Council Chambers on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at 6996 Taywood Rd.

On the city's website, more information about the proposed PLAN Clayton can be found. Those seeking additional information can contact City Planner Jennifer Barclay at (937) 836-3500.

PLAN Clayton organizers said they are working with residents and land owners, business owners, city staff, council and other organizations within the city on a long-range plan to improve Clayton.
