WPAFB Wednesday Forecast: Fog and drizzle with temps into 50s today

Areas of fog and drizzle will be quite persistent through the day, said Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell.

Despite the clouds and wet weather, temperatures will soar into the lower 50s by late afternoon. It will remain foggy tonight with patchy drizzle. Temperatures will hold in the 40s overnight.

The wind will pick up on Thursday and help improve the foggy conditions, however showers will be possible, especially toward evening. Temperatures may approach record highs on Thursday, reaching into the upper 50s.

Arctic air will return Friday and with a storm system nearby, expect rain to change to a wintry mix Friday before changing to snow Friday night into Saturday. Snow accumulations appear likely.
