And you thought the #KylieJennerChallenge was weird.
Teens apparently are trying to summon an imaginary Mexican demon in the latest social-media craze – a game called the #CharlieCharlieChallenge.
According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and WBLI, the game goes like this: Draw four quadrants on a piece of paper, writing "YES" and "NO" in opposing corners, balance two pencils atop one another in a plus-sign formation, and then ask, "Charlie, Charlie are you here?"
If the pencil moves and points to yes, you can draw on the demonic life experience of "Charlie" — described as either a dead child or a Mexican deity – by asking yes-or-no questions.
The fad may owe its brief halo of fame to an Instagram post by a central Georgia girl, according to the Washington Post. Other teens are now posting videos of the game to social media.
