Deputies dig up car unearthed by Hurricane Matthew in Florida

Deputies dug out a car frame that was unearthed by Hurricane Matthew in Florida on Friday.

WJAX spoke with the man who found the car after the storm.

The man said he had been looking for debris and storm damage when he came across a chassis and four tires still partially buried by sand.

He believes the car may have been under a 10-foot sand dune since Hurricane Dora, which struck the area in 1964.

Deputies used a tractor on Friday to dig up what was left of the car. They said it was at an old homesite.

A lot of people are trying to guess what kind of car it was.

The deputy who took the photo thinks it was a Volkswagen Beetle.
