Experience-based retail is becoming a major focus for malls as consumers want places where they can eat, shop and play all in one place.

Round1, similar to Dave and Buster’s, also offers all-inclusive parties starting at $20.99 for two hours. Food includes pizza, burgers, wings, salads, sides and drinks, including alcohol.

Round1 has roots back to 1980 in Japan under the name Sugino Kosan, the creator of the company. At that time, the entertainment facility had roller skating and arcade games. A few years later when a bowling alley was added, Round1 was born.
