A Middletown woman was charged with felonious assault Friday morning following a car ramming incident.
After she allegedly rammed her Jeep Cherokee repeatedly into another woman’s car, Nashay Powell, 25, was charged with felonious assault, fleeing the scene of an accident, driving under suspension and failing to control her vehicle.
The incident occurred at around 1 a.m. in the area of Calumet Avenue. Powell allegedly continued to pursue the other woman and the incident ended with Powell ramming the other car twice more at Lafayette Avenue. Powell then allegedly fled the scene.
Police found her vehicle abandoned in the 1600 block of Meadow Avenue and she was located and arrested at 3:45 a.m.
The other woman suffered injuries to her hand and was taken to Atrium Medical Center.
Powell has a history of infractions. She has been arrested 23 times since 2005 for incidents involving aggravated burglary, endangering children and assault, according to Middletown Municipal Court records.
