UPDATE: According to the Washington Post, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, suspected Paris attacks ringleader, has been killed in the overnight raid in Paris. Politico has also reported the news, per confirmation from a Belgian official. The French prosecutor will not release the identities of those killed overnight until further investigations has been conducted.
A police operation reportedly linked to Friday's terrorist attacks unfolded Wednesday morning in Saint Denis, a Paris suburb.
According to The Associated Press, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, the suspected mastermind of the attacks, was believed to be the target of the massive standoff. Police said two suspects died – including a woman who blew herself up, believed to be Abaaoud's cousin – and four officers were injured in the raid, the AP reported. Seven people were arrested, prosecutors said.
CNN reports that DNA tests are being performed to determine if Abaaoud was killed in the raid.
