18-year-old dies in multi-vehicle crash in Fairfield Twp.

Fairfield Twp. police aren’t yet saying what caused the accident that killed 18-year-old Dorian Gray, whose 2013 Kia struck two vehicles, said police Capt. Doug Lanier.

At 2:44 p.m. Saturday, officers were dispatched to Bypass Ohio 4, south of Hamilton-Mason Road for a report of a multi-vehicle accident. Lanier said Gray’s Kia was traveling north on the bypass when it went left of center and struck a 2018 Toyota Sienna in the southbound lane. Gray’s vehicle then spun into the path of a 2001 Chevy Suburban.

A fourth vehicle was involved in the accident and sustained minor damage, Lanier said.

Gray, of Cincinnati, was taken by ambulance to UC Health West Chester Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead, according to Lanier.

The preliminary cause of death is multiple traumatic injuries, according to the Butler County Coroner’s Office. She died at 6:28 p.m. Saturday, nearly three hours after the accident, according to the coroner’s office.

Occupants of the other vehicles were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the police report.

Initial reports on Saturday indicated two people were injured and CPR was in progress for a third person.

Lanier wouldn’t comment on the contributing factors in the accident, saying the accident remains under investigation.

The Fairfield Twp. Police Department and Butler County Serious Traffic Accident Crash Team responded to the scene.
