Calling all cheese lovers!

When you’re a fifth generation bakery operating on a single product, it’s a big deal when something gets added to the menu.

>>Dayton Classic lives on, fifth generation takes over at Smales Pretzel Bakery

Smales Pretzel Bakery, located at 210 Xenia Ave. in Dayton, announced on its Facebook page yesterday that it would be offering a new cheese dip option for its pretzels. It will cost 50 cents for a 2 ounce container.

The iconic bakery teamed up with Fifth Street Brewpub to offer the brewpub's "Henry O'Fifth Street" beer cheese this week, while supplies last.

"We are so thrilled to have our beer cheese (made always with our tasty beer) offered there," Fifth Street Brewpub said in a comment on the post. "Having this delicious food pairing on our menu these last few months (and moving forward) has been a tremendous way for us to show what community and food partnerships look and taste like."
