A Coconut Creek, Florida, woman and two middle schoolers were arrested after selling gummies laced with marijuana to  the teens’ classmates.

Coconut Creek Police Sgt. Brandi DelVecchio told WPLG a 15-year-old girl went to the clinic after not feeling well and police discovered she had eaten a gummy candy.

Paramedics treated two students at Lyons Creek Middle School when they found themselves to be high, which then led to the arrest of the 13- and 14-year-old who sold the candy to them. Police found 86 similar packages of laced gummies in one girl's home, presumably there with the intention to sell.

Christine Arguelles, the mother of one of the arrested teens, was also arrested. Charges against Arguelles include "possession with intent to sell THC, two counts of child neglect and three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor."

WSVN reported that Lyons Creek Middle School Principal Horace Hamm sent out an email to parents following the incident:

The safety and well-being of our students are always our highest priorities. I encourage you to discuss with your child the danger of these items, which are disguised as candy, and the importance of making good decisions.
