The Cincinnati Bengals have recognized Dan McSurley for turning Clinton-Massie into a southwest Ohio high school powerhouse.
McSurley, who was named the winner of the Paul Brown Excellence in Coaching Award, has won 185 games and two state titles since becoming the head coach of the Falcons in 1996.
The honor brings with it a $5,000 donation from the Bengals to the CMHS athletics department.
The Falcons won back-to-back state championships in 2012 and ’13, part of a run of 15 consecutive years making the playoffs.
