5-foot-9 Buckeyes guard A.J. Harris dunks over 6-9 Florida defender

A.J. Harris’ freshman season at Ohio State came to a close Sunday with the Buckeyes’ 74-66 loss to Florida in the National Invitation Tournament.

But Harris, a Dunbar High School graduate, went out with a bang.

A 5-foot-9 guard, Harris posterized Florida forward Kevarrius Hayes, a foot taller at 6-9, by dunking over him during the second half.

"I just had a lane, and my eyes got big once the lane got open," Harris told Cleveland.com. "I just went for it and dunked it … Because of my size, and I have a big heart. So I just wanted to attack the rim really aggressively."

Harris, who averaged 13 minutes and 2.9 points per game this season, finished with seven points. Hayes had 14 points for the Gators.

OSU finished 21-14.
