Staying another year

Alabama running back Damien Harris shocked his teammates and fans by deciding to return to Alabama for his senior season. Harris had two straight 1,000-yard seasons. He also scored 11 rushing touchdowns for Alabama last year, which was up from his 2 touchdowns during his sophomore season. Harris will most likely be the featured back next season. On Thursday, Harris revealed why he decided to return for another season at Alabama.

Tua Tagovailoa returns to practice

Alabama dealt with a scare on Tuesday as Tagovailoa injured his thumb in practice. A report said it was a sprain and not a break. Tagovailoa returned to practice just two days after injuring his thumb. He participated in footwork drills but was unable to throw any passes.

Outside linebackers eager to return

Alabama’s linebacking corps suffered numerous injuries in 2017. Terrell Lewis and Christian Miller sustained injuries in the opener and did not return until late in the season. Lewis and Miller helped Alabama with its pass rush, and both are eager to return to the field this spring.
