Adding a defensive lineman

Alabama missed out on many top 2018 defensive lineman recruits, including 4-star Bobby Brown. Brown flipped to Texas A&M on National Signing Day after being committed to Alabama for two months. Alabama coach Nick Saban said on Signing Day he would have liked to add one more defensive lineman. According to SEC Country’s Chris Kirschner, Alabama may be able to add another DL  before the 2018 season starts.

Dealing with adversity

Alabama linebacker and outfielder Keith Holcombe properly balances playing for Saban and baseball coach Brad Bohannon. Holcombe made 38 tackles and 2 tackles for loss last season as a rotation linebacker for the football team and he is second on the baseball team this season in batting average and hits. Holcombe also balances sports with having type 1 diabetes. Holcombe is still able to be a two-sport athlete despite diabetes affecting his daily life.
