It’s been a gripping national championship game between Alabama and Georgia, with both teams looking to deal a knockout blow and bring home the trophy.
But things took a scary turn very late in the third quarter on Monday night. Alabama’s Kyriq McDonald, a reserve cornerback, collapsed on the Crimson Tide sideline, according to a report from ESPN’s Tom Rinaldi.

It wasn’t known why McDonald collapsed or if he had a medical history prior to Monday’s game, but Alabama’s medical staff was shown tending to him loading him on a stretcher. Fortunately, he was shown by cameras to be awake and alert.
This is certainly a scary situation, and hopefully all is well with McDonald.
