Alabama DL Da’Shawn Hand sends encouraging Twitter message after injury: ‘Be back sooner than later’

Alabama football-Da'Shawn Hand-Nick Saban-fall camp

Da’Shawn Hand sent an encouraging message on Twitter on Sunday morning.

On Saturday the Alabama defensive lineman sustained an injury, likely a left MCL strain as relayed by SEC Country’s Marq Burnett, during the Crimson Tide’s 66-3 rout against Ole Miss at Bryant-Denny Stadium. But Hand’s Twitter message said, in part, that he would “be back sooner than later.”

Hand was knocked out midway through the third quarter. The training staff helped him from the field, and he was not able to put any weight on his left leg. He had 3 tackles, including 1 sack, before he left the game.

Alabama coach Nick Saban said Hand would be evaluated Sunday.
