AUBURN, Ala. — Days after winning its thrilling SEC home opening series over Alabama, Auburn softball returns to Jane B. Moore Field, where Mickey Dean’s team will host Alabama State for a midweek contest.
Auburn and Alabama State have previously met nine times, with Auburn winning all nine games. That includes four games played on the Plains. Last season the two teams met twice, and Auburn won 14-0 and 14-1.
Fourth-year coach Chris Steiner-Wilcoxson leads the Hornets, who are 9-19 after a series with Southern.
