After hosting and then beating Alabama in its SEC home opener, Auburn softball is ready for another conference matchup.
The Tigers welcome Kentucky to Jane B. Moore Field for a three-game series beginning on Friday evening. Auburn is now 28-6 (2-4 SEC) and coming off of a 22-0 midweek win over Alabama State. A win over the Wildcats would mean a third straight win over a ranked team for Mickey Dean’s club this season.
Auburn holds the advantage in the overall series against Kentucky (38-17), which includes a 20-5 mark in games played on the Plains. Most recently, Auburn won a 2-0 shutout over the Wildcats in the SEC Tournament.
