Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield doesn’t lose often, but when he does? It’s typically a coin toss.

Toby Rowland, the voice of Oklahoma football, was told by Sooners coach Lincoln Riley that Mayfield might lose his pregame duties of calling the coin toss after he was made aware the Sooners have lost each coin toss this season.

Mayfield’s response? He loses them on purpose.

The Sooners have scored on their first possessions in 3 of 4 games this season. The only game they didn’t score on their first drive was at Ohio State, which turned out to be a pretty good night for Mayfield, if you weren’t aware.

The Sooners enter Saturday with an undefeated record and face a 2-2 Iowa State team in Norman, Okla. The Sooners will take midfield a little before 3:30 p.m. ET for the toss, and watch out for Mayfield to throw it so Oklahoma can get the ball in their hands as soon as possible.

It seems to be working out for them so far.
