Baker Mayfield an underdog to be QB with highest Wonderlic score

Former Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield is no stranger to being doubted — it’s just usually about his play on the football field.

But in a world where you can bet on almost everything, BetDSI Sportsbook is accpeting bets on which quarterback will score the highest on the Wonderlic test.

Mayfield is listed at 5/1 odds to score the best on the Wonderlic among the quarterbacks listed. Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen has the best odds at 13/10.

The test is annually distributed at the NFL Scouting Combine, which begins Tuesday, Feb. 27, in Indianapolis.

The Wonderlic is one of many activities Mayfield will participate in this week. The Heisman Trophy winner has already made it known he will go through all of the workouts, as well as sit down and interview with NFL franchises.

What is the Wonderlic test?

The Wonderlic is an aptitude assessment test and made up of 50 multiple choice questions. Participants have 12 minutes to take the test. The score given for each test matches the total number of correct answers recorded.

The average Wonderlic score of an NFL player is around 20.

A few above-average scores from NFL quarterbacks include a 35 from Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers, a 36 from Minnesota’s Sam Bradford, 37 from Indianapolis’ Andrew Luck, 39 by the New York Giants’ Eli Manning and 40 by Philadelphia’s Carson Wentz.
