Mock draft after mock draft has its best guess of where Penn State’s draft hopefuls will land. Most have running back Saquon Barkley going somewhere in the top couple of picks. But who fits where when it comes to the Nittany Lions?

The Centre Daily Times’ John McGonigal offers up his best guess of the perfect landing spots for a handful of Penn State players who will hear their names called during the draft.

Surprise scout

All 32 NFL teams were represented at Penn State’s pro day, one Canadian Football League team, and one talent scout from World Wrestling Entertainment. Yes, Vince McMahon had someone on the Penn State campus watching workouts.

What a pair

If top running back recruit Devyn Ford decides to sign with Penn State, think about the potential the Nittany Lions backfield has if Ford teams up with current freshman running back Ricky Slade.

It may happen. Land of 10’s Tyler Donohue writes that the two know each other and have discussed the potential of playing together for the Nittany Lions.

Filling the void

The cupboard surely isn’t bare at Penn State. The talent may be young, but it’s also plentiful headed into the 2018 season.

Donohue writes  there is a lot of elite talent that will be taking the field for coach James Franklin and could have an impact sooner rather than later.

Penn State’s basketball team’s run to the NIT semifinals isn’t so much surprising as it is the potential end of a run for this Nittany Lions team.

Coach Pat Chambers must replace guard Shep Garner, and’s David Jones writes that Chambers may have to find replacements for Tony Carr and Lamar Stevens too, once this postseason is over.
