Bryce Love among 4 Pac-12 players named to PFF College’s Week 5 National Team

Another week in the Pac-12 has produced a fresh set of standouts who garnered some national recognition.

Pro Football Focus College Football’s National Team of Week 5 included a couple of Stanford standouts, as well as an Oregon Duck and Washington Husky — but not who you might expect.

Stanford running back Bryce Love and Washington tight end Will Dissly were named to the offensive side of PFF College’s National Team of the Week, while Oregon defensive lineman Jalen Jelks and Stanford safety Justin Reid were named to the defensive side.

Love rushed 26 times for 301 yards and 3 touchdowns, and Reid recorded 9 tackles (0.5 tackles for loss) and 2 interceptions in Stanford’s win over Arizona State. Love’s 301 yards helped him become the quickest Stanford running back to 1,000 yards in the school’s history, reaching the milestone on just 87 carries.

Jelks recorded 3 tackles, 0.5 sack and 2 pass breakups in Oregon’s 45-24 victory over Cal. Dissly caught 3 passes for 47 yards, and also blocked as part of an offensive line that cleared the way for the Huskies to rush for 247 yards and 3 touchdowns on 41 attempts.
