Clay Travis makes big prediction about Alabama, Clemson

Clay Travis has a big prediction about how the rest of the season will unfold.

Speaking on Fox Sports Radio, the analyst broke down the recent dominance of Alabama and Clemson. While speaking, Travis predicted that the Crimson Tide and Tigers will meet for a third consecutive year in the national championship game.

“Bama and Clemson have established themselves, I believe, as being head and shoulders above everybody else right now in college football,” Travis said during the radio appearance. “Alabama hung 66 points on Ole Miss, and they could have scored 100 if they wanted to. … Clemson is just a colossal force. Right now, if you were predicting what’s going to happen, I think we would get a third consecutive year of Alabama playing Clemson [for the national title].”

There’s something to be said for variety. But yes, another chapter of Alabama-Clemson would be fun.

Right now, it looks like both programs are trending toward another meeting in the national championship game. Alabama has been so dominant during its 5-0 start, including 59-0 and 66-3 victories against Vanderbilt and Ole Miss in its last two games. Clemson, meanwhile, has been strong in its 5-0 start. The Tigers earned an impressive 31-17 victory against Virginia Tech last Saturday.

Who’s down for Alabama-Clemson, Part III? There doesn’t look to be a better potential matchup at the moment.
